Accurate information matters when readers are making legal, registration and compliance decisions. Company Darta Nepal welcomes well-supported correction requests and updates content when a material error or change is confirmed.
1. How to report a possible error
Email [email protected], contact the relevant team member through their published profile, or use our normal contact channels. Please include:
- the URL and title of the page;
- the specific statement you believe is incorrect or outdated;
- why it should be changed; and
- a link or copy of an official notice, law, form or other supporting source where available.
2. Initial assessment
Requests received through the general email are initially assessed by Department Head Roshan Shrestha, who records the issue, gathers the relevant material and forwards substantive matters to the appropriate author, reviewer or content specialist. We aim to acknowledge a sufficiently detailed request within 24–48 hours. Acknowledgement is not confirmation that the requested change is correct.
3. How we evaluate a report
The content team checks the published wording, the source originally relied upon, current legislation or official guidance, the date and scope of any change, and whether the issue affects the reader’s understanding or action. Where official materials are unclear or practice differs between offices, we may seek a professional view or qualify the content rather than state an uncertain position as settled fact.
4. Types of changes
Minor corrections
Spelling, grammar, formatting, broken links and changes that do not alter substantive meaning may be corrected without a public correction note.
Substantive corrections and updates
A change to a legal rule, eligibility requirement, fee, deadline, authority, required document, process step or other material claim is treated as substantive. We update the content and its displayed update or review date. Where useful to prevent misunderstanding, a visible note or disclaimer explains the material correction or changed rule.
Major or disputed issues
If content could materially mislead readers and cannot be corrected confidently at once, we may add a warning, remove the affected passage or temporarily unpublish the page while reviewing it. If credible sources disagree, we may describe the disagreement and identify the basis for our current position.
5. Review attribution after a change
A named reviewer should not remain publicly attached to materially rewritten content they have not checked. Substantive changes require renewed review before the review attribution and date are presented as current. Minor formatting corrections do not require a new review date.
6. No suppression of good-faith criticism
We do not remove an accurate statement solely because it is inconvenient or critical. Correction decisions are based on evidence, relevance, fairness and the need to prevent readers from being misled. Commercial relationships do not determine whether a factual correction is accepted.
7. Questions
For questions about this process, email [email protected]. Our related standards appear in the Editorial Policy and Reviewer & Team Policy.
